1st Call Pond Black Algae inhibitor for ornamental ponds
Light is made up a number of colours, known as a spectrum, Red through to Violet, and it is the invisible, Ultra Violet light that provides algae with its main food source. Ponds on Golf Courses and those near to fields treated with fertilisers are prone to turning green by algae blooms because some o f the nutrients applied to the land are quite often washed into the water courses by rain and/or irrigation. 1st Call Pond Blue is a propriety blend of non toxic colours, that when mixed into the pond, will act a barrier by reflecting the Ultra Violet rays while at the same time letting other light in. Water from the ponds is treated with 1st Call Pond Blue can be used for irrigation and will NOT stain turf, plants or anything that it may come into contact with. When water has been drawn from a pond for this reason, it is important to remember to monitor the level of active dye. 1st Call Pond Blue is often used to enhance the look of pond water by using more than the recommended minimum dose. It is quite safe to introduce several times more than is needed and this is left to an individual‘s taste. For the smaller ponds, we have a non concentrated version sold in a half bottle with an integrated measuring device - one of these bottles will treat up to 50,000 Litres of pond water.

Instructions for use
After calculating the amount of required, introduce 1st call Pond Blue into different parts the pond to help speed up the dispersion. Precautions protect from frost. 1st Call is a concentrated dye and may stain skin and clothing. Always wear gloves when handling.
